Here is the print that was given to my father by the Scottish artist, Anna Zinkeisen, during the 1970s. It was painted directly from the Coronation bouquet held by Her Majesty the Queen during the service in Westminster Cathederal on 3rd June 1953. Miss Zinkeisen also painted a portrait of my father that is displayed on the fifth floor at New Scotland Yard. Here also are two photographs that record the hanging of his portrait. There is a self-portrait of Anna Zinkeisen in the National Portrait Gallery, along with one that she painted of Sir Archibald MacIndoe, the renowned Plastic Surgeon whom she met during the second-world war.
