This is a splendid leather bound diary that records some of the appointments my father made during his final year as Commissioner of the Metropolis. They include: Sir Maurice Oldfield, the Head of MI6 – lunch 14th January, “Tonight” interview – 5^th February at TV Centre, “Phantom” Reunion – dinner on the 4^th March, drinks with the Home Secretary on Tuesday 8th March and the Freedom of the City of Westminster Ceremony on Wednesday 22^rd June. This Diary contains so much information and so many maps that it is a most comprehensive reference book as well as a desk diary recording the diverse activities of my father’s working life.
